Job Summary

We are seeking a high-performing Shared Services Supervisor (SSS). This is a hands-on role that will be responsible for overseeing various accounting duties, including but not limited to:

  • ERP account administration,
  • Journal entries,
  • Account reconciliations analysis and preparation
  • Intercompany transactions,
  • Vendor Master Data, Accounts payable processing and payment processing, expense processing
  • Customer Master Data, Customer invoicing, payment processing, collections, collection of resale certificates
  • Compile and monitor AE expenses
  • Depreciation accounting, and Supporting period closing activities related to activities in the Shared Services space.

 

In this role you will demonstrate excellent customer service, initiative, take ownership of responsibilities, complete projects with positive results and generally provide day-to-day operations support as well as provide direct support to other teams/departments. As SSC you will encourage innovative ideas that are sound and progressive, challenge the status quo, and support creativity in your area of responsibility. This is a collaborative role in which you will be expected to support all business leaders for Cyclone, Eureka and Luminis pre-integration. 

How you will contribute

  • Create and execute a clear strategy for the Shared Services activities that delivers high quality, effective services to all external and internal customers.
  • Direct the overall performance of services and ensure accountabilities for the quality, integrity and accuracy of the services provided
  • Lead, mentor and develop the General Accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team to document and improve existing processes
  • Support the senior leadership team to build operational capability through continuous improvement
  • Nurture talent, build and maintain capability and engage in succession planning of the Shared Services staff with a clear focus on performing
  • Prepare and review key performance indicators to measure share services standards

  • Ability to develop people: Experience or ability to successfully manage and develop people and teach them the technical competencies required to perform on the Acuity Finance team
  • Analytical Skills: Able to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions from it; is curious and achieves penetrating insights
  • Adaptability:  Adaptive and open to change/flexibility within job role in which you will be expected to support all business leader

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

  • Bilingualism French/English (spoken and written)
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel (essential)
  • Advanced Technical Skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics AX)
  • Understanding of software development approaches and methodology a plus
