About this Team

Acuity’s lighting and building management solutions vary from individual devices to intelligent network systems. Acuity Brands has operations throughout North America, and in Europe and Asia. Individual devices include lighting controls, lighting components, controllers for various building systems (including HVAC, lighting, shades and access control), power supplies, and prismatic skylights. Among other benefits, intelligent network systems can optimize energy efficiency and comfort as well as enhance the occupant experience for various indoor and outdoor applications, all the while reducing operating costs. How you will contribute:

Acuity Brands, North America’s leading manufacturer of lighting and lighting control products, has an opening in our GTA office. We are currently looking for a Specification Account Manager.

In this role, you will be responsible getting Acuity Brands products and solutions specified and sold within the Toronto and area marketplace. 

The successful candidate will have:

 - Proven track record in growing specification sales in the electrical industry.

- Must be proactive and capable of working well in a team or independently.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Must be technically competent, able to learn, have good computer skills, and have been consistently recognized as a winner for your accomplishments.
- Responsible for significantly increasing business within assigned Architects, Engineers, Lighting Designers, and Owners.
- The position is remote but successful candidates will be required to travel to customers within the Greater Toronto area.


Qualified Applicants will have:

Education and Experience
• University or College graduate
• Valid driver’s license
• Access to personal vehicle
• Minimum 3 years’ experience calling on consultants
• Lighting and lighting controls experience will be preferred
