About this Team

Security Manager will join a team of security professionals who are responsible for managing Acuity Brands Inc. Corporate Security programs in Mexico. The role supports several cross functional teams in corporate security, as well as offers support to global team members as directed. The position will report to the Director of Corporate Security. This security professional will manage day-to-day security operations, manage and implement the Global Physical Security Program components and functions for México locations, establish security service management, Assurance of the CTPAT and OEA certification in the security criteria, large corporate special events, key customer engagements, budget, and all other security related challenges as directed.

How you will contribute:

Managing a large guard force across multiple states throughout the region

Serving in support roles to the global team

C-TPAT and OEA compliance

Identifying and managing emerging threats

Development, implementation and verification of security processes

Managing overall access control, including badge access, visitors, contractors and suppliers, equipment and parking

Overseeing the deployment and quality of physical security solutions, such as camera and access controls and interface regularly with security vendors

Security incident reporting and conducting security investigations

Planning and staffing security management for large special events and other Corporate events

Run annual and ongoing risk assessments for all Mexico sites

Development, implementation and verification of security processes


Qualified Applicants will have:

6- 8 years Experience in corporate security for a global company

CPP, PSP or similar certification or obtained within 12 months form hired

Strong working knowledge and experience of physical security systems and components

Experience in managing Contract Security guard force across multiple states throughout the region

Demonstrated experience in conducting basic investigations / fact finding

Strong knowledge of C-TPAT and OEA.

Knowledge SOC2; ISO 27001 physical security standards, jurisdictional laws and regulations
