About this Location

This team is located just south of Sunny Sacramento, the farm to fork capital of the world.   Conveniently located next to a light rail to help employees reduce transportation costs.  The facility is equipped with light lab technology, state of the art training facilities, and large manufacturing spaces that house extruding equipment, thermal forming equipment, and several cutting/bending/welding machines.  Enjoy the warm weather while dining outside at several local eateries close by with outside, open seating concepts.

About this Team

If you want to be on the forefront of manufacturing and providing daylighting solutions to the world, Sunoptics is the team for you.  This position will give you the freedom to improve our skylight manufacturing processes and work hand in hand with design engineers to develop and launch new product portfolios. You will be part of a close-knit group that is passionate about providing a world class experience to our customers as well as reducing the need for energy.  Remember, “There is no greater efficiency than off”.

How you will contribute:
  • Responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the pre-sale, first-level product and technical support and quotations processes for sales reps and customer accounts.  Pre-Sales activities will include demand generation activities to identify and review leads vis-a-vis construction-related reporting services, follow-up on leads generated through the demand generation activities and as well as customer relationship building as a valued-business partner.  
  • Provide detailed product support and guidance relative to the selection of the appropriate Sunoptics product for the given application and knowledge about the industry as whole.  This includes detailed knowledge on Sunoptics as well as information related to competitors, customers/buying influences and other industry knowledge as appropriate. 
  • Support providing pricing quotations for sales reps and customer accounts.  The position will be expected to support profit optimization activities to achieve quotation hit-rate targets in a profit-oriented manner.
Qualified Applicants will have:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in inside sales and/or project management.
  • Experience and Foundational Knowledge of Lean Principles. Lean Cell Design, and demonstrated ability in continuous improvement
  • Proficient Computer and Analytical Skills 
  • Intermediate Specification knowledge and the ability to read Roofing plans is a plus.
Travel Requirements
  • 1-20%
