Job description

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production support manager will be responsible for directing, maintaining and optimizing the production process of products, as well as ensuring the application of certification standards, while working with different departments

Main responsibilities :

  • Lead production engineering tasks including custom projects and product updates.
  • Work with designers and drafters to ensure all product development is production ready.
  • Monitor and engage in discussions regarding Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) in regard to workload, resources and quality.
  • Work within the exisiting Design and Development process to achieve fully developed product launches of both Standard and Custom products
  • Resolving manufacturing / production design / engineering problems, quality issues and implement best practices.
  • Reviews and Approves designs and final drawings for production with Management team.
  • Create and enforce BOM, Drawing & 3D Modeling standards of practices and implementation in ERP system.
  • Understanding and experience with safety certification norms and agencies like ETL, UL or CSA regarding mechanical and electrical products
  • Experience in manufacturing with Die-Casting, Metal Spinning, Extrusions, sheet-metal and plastic with both local and foreign suppliers
Requirements :

 

  • · Technical degree with experience in equivalent field experience in production support and product development.
  • · Minimum 3 years experience of Supervisory
  • · Experience in project management
  • · Experience with LED & lighting with a strong understanding of the architectural products.
  • · SolidWorks (Modeling, configurations and drawings) or similar, Excel & MS Office, AutoCAD
  • · ERP software

  • Quick learner who adapts well to new technology and software.
  • Keen understanding of market demands and a realistic approach to cost optimization throughout development process
  • Understand the existing product lines, manufacturing methods, processes, techniques, and related equipment.
  • An understanding of Production Scheduling and Manufacturing Operations.
  • Strong Supervisory Skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Savy time manager with the ability to organize schedules, manage multiple tasks / priorities.
