Job Summary
Role open for candidates in Montréal and Atlanta
We are looking for a Cost Analyst for our Cyclone and Eureka divisions as well as providing support to the broader Acuity costing team. The analyst will be primarily responsible for the calculation and analysis of costs for these two divisions.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Balance inventory items at the end of the month and complete the associated analyses
- Determine and revise standard costs
- Calculate Inventory Provision
- Analyze purchase and production variances and other financial analyses
- Maintain the various performance indicators
- Contribute to margin improvement through the analysis and sharing of relevant data and information
- Propose improvements to existing accounting and financial processes
- Ensure that good internal controls are maintained
- Participate in the year-end inventory count
- Create and maintain certain management reports
Support to the Acuity costing team will further include:
- Intercompany and intracompany journal entries including:
- Intercompany adjustments for shipments between US and CA, and US and MEX legal entities
- Intercompany COGS reclassifications
- intracompany adjustments for specific brands
- PPV adjustments:
- Uncosted PO PPV adjustments
- Duty drawback and tariff accruals
- Account reconciliations and balance sheet reporting
- Ad-hoc standard cost adjustments
- Monthly variance analysis and reporting
- Support Internal and External audit requests
- Physical inventory Finance audit (travel required for up to 3 sites per year, between Q2 and Q4)

What you should have:
- Bilingual preferred: French and English: To serve internal and/or external clients across Canada and USA
- Excellent knowledge of Excel (essential)
- Advanced technical skills (Microsoft Office, PBI and Microsoft Dynamics AX an asset)
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar position
- Specialization or experience in management accounting
