About this role
One of the strengths of Acuity Brands is its dedication to architectural and specification-grade solutions. This role will focus on elevating brand identity, developing product marketing strategy and driving increased awareness in the design community about the product offering. This role reports into the Acuity Brands marketing organization but requires strong collaboration with the internal product business unit and partners.

Role Responsibilities
• Responsible for creating, implementing and managing marketing activities designed to generate product awareness and brand identity that will drive business opportunities and stimulate sales for the organization.
• Develop and drive overall yearly marketing strategy and integrated campaign plans.
• Partners with internal clients to identify appropriate marketing tactics to achieve business goals.
• Project manage the daily activities associated with marketing initiatives.
• Coordinate with Design & Development team on new product launch campaigns.
• Develop and integrate a social media strategy to the traditional marketing collateral and content.
• Plans and delivers external communications to our channel, our customers and our industry designed to positively impact the external brand image.
• Writes creative briefs for internal and external content providers, including graphic designers, photographers, videographers and writers.
• Ensures all marketing material adheres to brand guidelines.
• Creates and updates marketing materials to be used across various media platforms (including: collateral, presentations, brochures, product sheets, fact sheets, case studies, web content, newsletters, ads, tradeshow booths and sales tools.)
• Updates and maintains website content.
• Supports internal communication activities, including sharing marketing activities and project successes with employees and channel.
• Enters and promotes product design competitions.
• Works with sales channel, external photographers and writers to produce compelling project stories.
• Adds value to the organization by identifying process improvement opportunities.
• Other general marketing duties as assigned.

Qualified Applicants will have:

•Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.

•1 to 2 years’ experience in marketing strategy and principles.
•Experience in the implementation and execution of web and social media strategies.
•Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
•Good writing, communication and presentation skills.
•Good multi-tasking abilities with excellent organizational skills.
•Ability to work within short time frames and meet deadlines.
•High-energy, passionate, creative yet grounded personality.

Preferred Experience
•Previous working knowledge of manufacturing environments.
•Previous working knowledge about the lighting, controls or design industry.
•Previous working experience with creative agencies and disciplines.
•Advanced MS Office. (Word, Power Point and Excel.)
•Ability to travel overnight (up to 10%) (must have ability to obtain US Passport).
