Job Summary:

Title : Continuous improvement  

Reporting to the Director of Production, the continuous improvement is responsible for deploying improvement strategies as well as managing productivity. He acts both as a counsellor and project manager in order to develop a common culture in our practices and thus create added value at the process level.

Main Responsibilites:

  • In collaboration with the production team, develop and raise performance standards by deploying performance indicators and implementing new strategies to achieve objectives and deliverables;
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective action processes
  • Act as a change agent when implementing new, more efficient production strategies (methods, equipment, processes, systems);
  • Write or participate in the writing of processes and procedures;
  • Analyze and apply corrective / preventive actions related to delays, quality defects, rejections and non-conformities;
  • Provide training, coaching and support to production staff in the application of production procedures and methods

Qualified Applicants will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or equivalent;
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector;
  • Experience in small or medium business;
  • Proficiency in the Office suite (Project, Visio, Excel and Powerpoint) and AutoCAD (asset);
  • Good knowledge of French and English (oral and written).

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good knowledge of quality tools and processes;
  • Experience in change management and continuous improvement;
  • Ability to manage priorities, autonomy and analytical mind;
  • Communication, leadership and teamwork skills;
  • Ability to coach production staff
