The Acuity Brands Architectural Specialty Human Resources (HR) team is looking for a Human Resources Technician to contribute to all company's HR activities and who has a great interest for all talent acquisition’ activities. He or she will ensure the creation and implementation of efficient and innovative solutions to find the best talents. The HR Technician will be able to benefit from working remotely (combination of teleworking and work in the Montreal Office) to perform its’ various functions.

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Participate in the selection and hiring of candidates by advising managers
  • Stay on the lookout for best attraction practices to offer the best solutions and then develop and put into practice proactive recruitment strategies
  • Make optimal use of social media to promote and maintain the employer brand in order to attract the best talent
  • Participate in all steps of recruitment and hiring (posting, search and pre-selection of candidates, selection tests, pre-employment, letters and hiring documents)
  • Coordinate activities with the various talent acquisition service providers
  • Set up and maintain KPIs and other tools related to the acquisition of talent
  • Participate in HR projects such as the implementation of programs and initiatives in talent development, compensation, well-being, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I), HR systems as well as certain compliance activities.

Requirements and Knowledge:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or Industrial Relations combined with an internship experience in a company, in talent acquisition OR
  • College’s degree (DEC) in administration (HR component) combined with work experience in talent acquisition
  • Good communication skills and in both French and English (spoken and written)
  • Member of the CHRP Association (asset)
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office Suite
  • Knowledge of new trends in recruitment with the optimal use of social media
  • Innovative, creative, good sense of organization and initiative
  • Team player
  • Agility and ability to act fast.
