Job Summary
Responsible for understanding and interpretting requirements of a project within construction documents and specificiations to design a controls system tailored to the specific project needs including effectively communicating with sales agents/customers at all stages of design. Uses visual controls software to help generate the requested deliverable set through the RFA process based on their interpretation and input. Suggest changes to deliverables to cusotmer and amend original requirements. Delivers lighting controls bill of material, layout and/or submittal.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Designs lighting controls systems based on construction documents, specifications, and/or sales agent/customer needs, including suggested changes and amendments to the original design.
- Utilizes construction software to review and mark up construction documents, including fixture schedules, details, and single line diagrams.
- Supports sales agents and customers regarding project-specific controls product applications and assists in value engineering projects to boost sales.
- Collaborates and assists on special projects with internal Acuity teams outside of their own team.
- Keeps up to date on Acuity Controls product portfolio as well as competitor products.

- Excellent critical thinking skills, independent thought, interpretation, and problem-solving to understand and implement the lighting controls requirements of a project.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
