How you will contribute:

What will you do in this role?
Serve as the initial contact for our sales agencies to assist with products, systems and solutions issues. Take ownership for assuring that issues are resolved timely and effectively for the customer directly and involving partners in the company for an effective resolution.  Be the key frontline service element of Acuity Brands, with emphasis on customer satisfaction, responsiveness, fiscal responsibility, commercial sensitivity and timeliness. Duties may include:

  • Processing customer warranty claims for the industry-leading Winona, Mark, Peerless, Hydrel and Healthcare Lighting brands.
  • Assisting in the development of processes and electronic information for troubleshooting guides, communication and information sharing procedures for historical product and application resolutions
  • Documenting field labor claims and replacement fixture or parts data. Facilitate negotiation for field labor within guidelines and initiate customer payment process for approved field repair work using standard work guidelines
  • Utilizing LEAN tools to improve processes, communication and resolutions for Acuity Brands products, systems and solutions to drive improved customer satisfaction and a reduction of quality costs
Qualified Applicants will have:

To be successful you should have:

  • 1-2 years’ experience working with customers, demonstrating an ability to effectively resolve customer issues, plus the education listed below
  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with customers, demonstrating an ability to effectively resolve customer issues
  • Technical aptitude and strong organizational skills
  • Experience working with technical documentation including bills of material, wiring diagrams and parts diagrams. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Interpersonal skills for effective communication and negotiation
  • Computer competence and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
  • Preferred Experience: Bi-lingual fluency (English and Spanish)
  • Preferred Experience: Lighting or related industry knowledge
