Manager, Digital Engagement Job

About This Role:

The Manager for Digital Engagement lights the way by accelerating the development of Acuity Brands tools and processes that achieve our goals and connect us with customers across all Digital Retail and Home Center channels. As a Manager for Digital Engagement, you will be responsible for overseeing the onboard and maintenance of product data used to drive business through the Digital Retail and Home Center sales channels. The ideal candidate will have experience in product data management – specifically the creation and delivery of product attributes, marketing assets and any data that drives customer preference, revenue and margin growth. Experience with other electronic customer-connection points, such as Syndigo, is desired. The Manager for Digital Engagement incorporates continuous improvement in every responsibility to help raise the bar in connectivity and service for our customers. Additionally, this position may lead and direct the work of Associate Analyst(s) for Digital Engagement, as well as influence the work of other internal matrix partners or external business associates.

How You Will Contribute:
  • Lead as subject matter expert for the Digital Retail and Home Center new product onboarding process and aid in item setup as required (45%)
  • Collaborate with matrix partners including, IT, Sales and Retail Product Operations to manage and ensure data completeness and integrity. Effectively manage the Acuity Syndication tool and API feed. Maintain required attribute template. Represent Digital Retail on the Product Data Governance Committee (25%)
  • Work with Sales teams to define and understand data requirements for Digital Retail and Home Center customers (15%)
  • Serve as liaison between Acuity and third-party Syndicator, working to streamline processes and address issues that may arise (10%)
  • Create and manage visual KPIs for the Digital Retail Product Development team. Utilize LEAN processing tools, such as daily management and root cause countermeasures to drive efficiency and process improvements. Foster connectivity between Distributor and Digital Retail Home Center teams (5%)
Qualified Applicants Will Have:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Minimum three years of Digital Retail and E-Commerce experience. Home center experience preferred
  • Demonstrates ability to project manage, lead to achieve goals and meet success criteria
  • Decisive and comfortable in a fast paced, technology and engineering based environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel program
  • Possesses strong, organizational skills to work efficiently
  • Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with customers, vendors and internal matrix partners
  • Previous experience with Syndigo or other product content management systems for syndication preferred
