Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Test Development Engineer with certifications in LabVIEW and TestStand to join our advanced engineering team. In this position, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of highly complex automated test solutions, ensuring that test systems meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role is critical in driving continuous improvement and innovation in our testing operations.

 

This position works on site at our Production Facility located in Crawfordsville, IN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced Technical Support: Provide expert-level technical support to resolve critical issues in test systems, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Test Solution Development: Design, develop, and implement automated test solutions using LabVIEW and TestStand, ensuring compliance with project specifications and customer requirements
  • Test Solution Quotation: Develop and present detailed and accurate proposals for test solutions, ensuring alignment with the technical and budgetary needs of the customers
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, product engineering, and quality teams to ensure test solutions meet performance and reliability standards
  • Evaluation and Validation: Perform performance evaluations and validation of test systems and equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Design Review: Actively participate in design reviews, providing recommendations on test improvements and manufacturability of products
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and optimize test processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
  • Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain complete technical documentation, including test plans, procedures, validation reports, and results
  • Innovation and Updates: Stay current with the latest trends and emerging technologies in test methodologies, ensuring the adoption of innovative practices within the team

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Certification: Advanced certification as LabVIEW Architect and TestStand Developer
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in test development and automation, preferably in a manufacturing or product development environment
  • Technical Skills: Deep experience in programming and designing test systems using LabVIEW and TestStand. Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C#, and advanced proficiency with SQL Server
  • Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards and quality regulations, such as ISO and IEC
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to identify and effectively solve complex problems
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to work in cross-functional and dynamic environments
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
