Maintenance Technician A

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Primary duties consist of but not limited to:
- Requires all skill, technique and knowledge under Level ‘B’ position, plus a minimum of 8 years verifiable industrial experience in electrical and mechanical machine maintenance, or 5 years job experience and 2 years relevant technical training.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment. Programming work involving robotic controllers, programmable logic controllers, industrial computer software controllers and software.
- Must demonstrate proficiency on applicable tests (Hands-on). Complete application and interview.
- Pass a standard forklift driver’s test and operate such equipment in a safe manner in performance of maintenance duties.
- Ability to work from blueprints or Electrical prints and machine specifications (Machine Manuals) in performing all general maintenance work.
- Operation and repair of chemical and steam systems
- Accurately maintain records as required, including PM Scheduling system.
- High School graduate or equivalent G.E.D.
- Valid Indiana Driver’s License.
- Good work, attendance and safety records.
- Responsible for housekeeping in work area.
