Plant Location: Crawfordsville, Indiana

 

Group: Supply Chain Finance

 

Your mission: 

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic finance leader to support our Indiana Production Facility.    Responsibilities include month end close, financial reporting and analysis, and partnering with plant operations team to drive improved operating and financial performance.  This is an on-site position.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Prepare and review operational key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist Operational Partners in developing and implementing countermeasures.
  • Participate in Gemba walks to interact with plant personnel and identify waste / opportunities on the factory floor.
  • Educate plant team on impact of operational decisions and the impact on financial results.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements along with other analysis of performance.
  • Participate in daily stand up meetings and monthly operational reviews.
  • Oversee the monthly financial close process for the plant, including account reconciliations.
  • Respond timely and thoughtfully to ad hoc financial requests and ROI analysis.
  • Present results to supply chain leaders, identifying key trends in performance.
  • Improve financial and operational processes utilizing ABS.
  • Partner with Operational leaders to successfully execute physical inventories.


What we are looking for in you:

  • Operational Partnership: Experience or ability to successfully work with Operational teams on joint Financial and Operational projects.
  • Gemba Mentality:  Desire to improve financial performance and linkage to operations through observations and interactions on the plant floor.
  • Attention to detail: Does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project and able to manage multiple requests at a time.
  • Collaboration: Working well with a range of people from across the business.
  • Analytical Skills: Able to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions from it; exhibits a probing mind and achieves penetrating insights.
  • Problem Solving: Provides practical solutions to problems, able to use ABS tools to eliminate waste.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate clearly across multiple channels of communication (verbal, email, PowerPoint).
  • Leadership: Navigates and leads the team through high-priority last minute requests and other high stress situations.
  • Analytics: Drive Analytic projects for the business teams with financial modeling, data mining and presentation support.  

 

What you should have:

  • Undergraduate degree required (Accounting or Finance preferred but other degrees could be considered)
  • 3-7 years of financial analysis experience
  • Strong Excel skills for financial modeling are a must
  • Desire to be in the plant/on the manufacturing floor on a daily basis
  • Conceptual understanding of US GAAP
  • MBA or CPA a plus
