About this Team

The Vice President of Digital Retail Sales defines and executes the eCommerce vision for Acuity. The Vice President of Digital Retail role and team oversees the organization's online sales policies, objectives, and initiatives. In addition, this role sets short and long-term sales strategies and evaluates effectiveness of current sales programs.

How you will contribute:
  • Lead the eCommerce Sales strategies and team for the organization
  • Analyze and assesses the effectiveness of all existing operations and current needs based on new technology and market competition
  • Responsible for the P&L and annual budget for Digital Retail Channel to deliver profitable growth
  • Accountable for growing online customers and revenue to achieve company targets
  • Build and maintain relationships for key eCommerce accounts and agencies that support them
  • Provide VOC and utilize data to perform competitive market analysis and identify new business development opportunities
  • Using continuous improvement tools such as, Acuity Business Systems (ABS) and matrix leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with key internal business partners, across all functional areas of the business, to ensure operational excellence and an enhanced web shopping experience
  • Manages and provides leadership and developmental opportunities for direct reports including hiring, training, work assignments, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and drive Digital Retail KPIs for team. As well as, provide guidance on KPI’s and objectives through clear, effective, timely, and constructive feedback to staff.
  • Adheres to company policies and leads by example; maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Effectively develops and manages budget in line with Company expectations.
     
Qualified Applicants will have:

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong project management skills.
  • Supervisory experience; demonstrated ability to create a team spirit in individuals supervised.
  • Broad knowledge of e-commerce technologies.
  • Experience with partnerships and business development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experience with Amazon, HD.com, Lowes.com, Build, Wayfair a plus

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is required.
  • A basic understanding of the lighting and/or controls business is preferred.
  • Overnight travel required. Percentage of travel based upon geographic needs.
