Job Description

Responsible for supporting Acuity Channel Sales and channel customers by providing exemplary sales support.  Responsibilities may be, but not limited to: lighting sales tasks, quoting within Acuity systems, providing product specification sheets, order entry & management and post sales warranty issues.  Candidate should continually seek opportunities to broaden customer relationships by ensuring customer requirements and expectations are exceeded.


Job Responsibilities

Sales Activities:

  • Provide special reporting, and coordinate basic/medium level special projects to support sales management, sales reps/account managers, and/or agents.
  • Implement campaigns and collateral 
  • Facilitate process for setting up new distributors.
  • Conduct sales visits with Acuity Sales or Account Managers to foster customer relationships.


Quoting Process:

  • Understanding of customer requirements from formal or informal Requests for Quotes to build ABL material list, counts and customer quotes.
  • create Acuity specification sheets to include in submittal packages.
  • Create or understand simple lighting application design.
  • Create and facilitate Bills of Material and respective pricing with Acuity Quotes department
  • Submit low/medium quotes when acting as the agent/sales rep.
  • Provide frontline technical support
  • Clarification of customer Purchase Orders against latest quote in Acuity system


Order Entry & Management:

  • Entry of customer Purchase Orders into Acuity system
  • Manage distributor orders until shipment
  • Communicate order status to agents/Acuity Account Managers/Acuity Sale


Post Sales Facilitation:

  • Enter Request for Claim for resolution direction from Acuity Warranty team
  • Manage post sales and warranty resolution implementation with appropriate Acuity department when needed


ABS-Lean Initiatives:

  • Use Acuity Business System (ABS) Tools daily for individual and departmental metrics.
  • Use Lean and ABS Tools to identify opportunities within daily work and process improvement events.


Education and Experience

  • 3-5 years experience required
