About this Team

Acuity Brands has an immediate opening for a Senior Financial Analyst on our collaborative and high performing finance team.  You will be responsible for the day-to-day reporting and analysis for the Marketing group, for the production of financial statements and monthly closing activities, and for partnering with internal customers to support ongoing business activities and projects.

How you will contribute:

  • Partner with the Marketing Leaders and provide pertinent data to establish Operational and Financial goal alignment and drive toward results
  • Prepare and review key performance indicators and assist with Root Cause Countermeasure process (RCCM)
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements of the group and communicate overall performance of the company to influence actions
  • Responsible for developing models for forecasting, budgeting and any kind of forward-looking analyses.
  • Respond timely and thoughtfully to adhoc financial requests and perform necessary investment analysis
  • Improve processes impacting your group (financial and non-financial) utilizing ABS tools
  • Participate in group and matrix partner kaizen events
  • Coordinate the completion of various Acuity consolidated reports (e.g. capital and headcount)
  • Oversee no-charge process and monthly entries
  • Responsibility to ensure compliance with US GAAP and Corporate Finance Policies
  • Review and approve AEs (spend requests) to assist with budget control and internal control compliance.
  • Review group specific cost centers and cost allocations and prepare journal entries to ensure accurate and complete P&Ls
  • Participate and assist with Enabling group activities throughout the month

Qualifications Required


  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA/CPA a plus
  • 3-5 years of financial analysis experience
  • Conceptual understanding of US GAAP
  • Advanced Technical Skills (Excel, PPT, PowerBI, Oracle)
  • Experience with OneStream preferred
