Job Summary

 

eldoLED is a market leading business, that designs, sells, and manufactures LED drivers and Light Engines. It has a portfolio that contains leading solutions for commercial applications in indoor, outdoor, industrial and architectural applications. It focuses on quality of light, connectivity with controls, and innovative solutions that help our customer differentiate. With locations throughout the US, Mexico and Netherlands it has a global footprint. eldoLED is part of Acuity Brands Lighting, and is a combination of the ‘original’ eldoLED company and the acquisition of Digital Systems Osram NA.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

We are looking for a product management leader that will manage the complete North America eldoLED business, reporting directly to the DLC General Manager. The sr Dir Product for eldoLED will help define the business strategy and financial goals, lead the overall product vision and roadmap, and product life cycle of the business.

 

As Sr Director Product eldoLED, you will lead a team of product managers, that oversee all aspects of eldoLED product life cycle management. This includes:

 

  • Lead and define the product vision, based on the business key strategic goals, customer needs and market trends. You should be able to clearly represent and communicate this to all stakeholders.
  • Contribute in achieving the business financial goals thru a leading and balanced product portfolio, managing product vitality as a key financial metric.
  • Own competitive product positioning, pricing and margins.
  • Develop and build a strong team of product managers, owning different parts of the offering.
  • Develop budgets, forecast and metrics.
  • Understand general lighting and technology trends, and assess the competitive landscape for the products in scope.
  • Develop business cases for new products, services, and/or product/process improvements.
  • Drive the portfolio process with the Engineering organization, prioritizing opportunities that meet the financial goals while balancing the R&D investments.
  • Drive on-time delivery of the products, providing clear specifications where required (eg hardware), but be agile when needed (eg software)
  • Own the product roadmap, considering the capabilities of our organization, and being able to clearly represent and communicate this to all stakeholders.
  • Define the launch and marketing strategy in collaboration with the Sales team.
  • Visit customers to understand their needs, help design ins, and build relationships.


Leadership in this role is key: you will be collaborating intensely in a global team, with your reports, your peers, the GM, and many other stakeholders in the broader company. As part of the DLC management team, you will have a key role in driving employee engagement and accountability in the organization.

 

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

 

  • 10+ years in product management, product marketing, and/or technology roles
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business required; MBA preferred
  • Exemplary communication skills with demonstrable ability to identify stakeholders needs and influence decision making
  • Strong product acumen with an obsession over customer needs
  • Experience leading a cross-functional team with accountability for product delivery
  • Proven experience in managing products across the complete product lifecycle, from initial concept to end-of-life

The range for this position is $161,300.00 to $362,300.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
