Regional Residential Sales Manager - Chicagoland Job

About this Location

Acuity’s lighting and building management solutions vary from individual devices to intelligent network systems. With fiscal year 2020 net sales of $3.3 billion, Acuity Brands has operations throughout North America, and in Europe and Asia. Individual devices include lighting controls, lighting components, controllers for various building systems (including HVAC, lighting, shades and access control), power supplies, and prismatic skylights. How you will contribute:

Increase lighting and lighting controls sales and promote brand preference through the Residential Channel that includes the electrical contractor, electrical distributors, and showroom channels, congruently with agency salesforce and sales management. Develop and maintain key customer relationships and connectivity.  Implement vertical strategies to grow market share in critical markets. Develop and drive the sales process, impact, and matrix connectivity.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
• Develop and drive lighting and controls opportunities with Electrical Distributors, Lighting Showrooms, and Home Builders
• Develop selling strategies to partner with Acuity agents to create product demand
• Conduct product training at customers’ site
• Attend and participate in home builders and other industry shows
• Expand and deepen customer reach within the EC/ED residential and showroom community
• Collaborate with regional sales VP, Regional Sales Managers, and C&I Agencies to develop by market Resi strategy
• Develop relationships with large EC/ED, home builders, large regional contractors and builders, custom builders, and Showroom partners.
• Conversions: Closing and on-boarding of larger scale conversions/orders and new accounts
• Provide training to Agents and customers on new product introductions, solutions, promotions, systems, and tools

Qualified Applicants will have:

 

Qualified Candidates
• 3-5 years of experience in the electrical industry preferably lighting and/or controls
• Understand Residential Market
• The candidate will reside in the Chicago metro area, or another large market in the Midwest
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
This role will require up to 50% travel
