We are seeking a skilled, innovative project manager to join our dynamic Supply Chain Strategy team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in mobilizing inventory reduction and improving business practices to ensure we only make inventory investments that add value to the end user enabling a competitive advantage. Your expertise will ensure that our products and processes in these spaces not only lead industry performance but also optimize effectiveness for our operational productivity and competitiveness. Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

 

 

  • Project Identification & Scoping:  Working with supply chain and the key levers driving inventory,  identify and develop impactful projects that will reduce excess inventory and safety stock. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on initiatives with objectives.  (these efforts will be in addition to on-going inventory reduction efforts by inventory leaders and PLM process)        
  • Project Management:  Work closely with product management, engineering, sourcing and manufacturing teams to execute projects.  Lead the specific project planning and coordination from (1) day to day tasks to high level planning, (2)scheduling, (3) risk management, (4) budgeting (resources & expenses), and (5) communications. Responsibilities include (1) defining and gaining alignment on how reduction will be achieved for specific scope & (2) execution to acquire results on-time and on-budget        
  • Collaboration:  Foster strong collaboration between product management, engineering, sourcing, finance and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration end to end. Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing to drive a unified approach.  Facilitate discussions, brainstorms, alignment and conflict management to enable how to execute the strategy and implement needed processes.        
  • Risk Management:  Anticipate and mitigate potential challenges related to service, obsolescence, data integrity and timely execution. Identify constraints, production bottlenecks, and potential failure points to develop proactive solutions that minimize disruptions        
  • Performance Tracking:  Develop metrics and KPIs to monitor the success and impact of the projects across processes impacted. Regularly assess the service improvements, efficiency gains, and cash flow savings achieved.  
  • Standardization:  Lead and/or collaborate on developing and implementing standard work for project management and inventory.        
  • Better Smarter Faster: Project wise, ensures integration of BSF operating system in projects to ensure appropriately engage in organization's cadence and content.  Organization wise, leads, coaches and participates in BSF events like Art of the Possible to improve ABL processes.        
     

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 3+ years of relevant experience 
  • Project Management Experience        
  • Problem Solving Knowledge    
  • Supply Chain Management Knowledge      
  • Data Analysis Knowledge    
  • Inventory Management Knowledge        
  • Communication (verbal, written) Experience    
  • Cross-functional Collaboration Experience

Preferred Skills and Experience

 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • 2 years project management, inventory and manufacturing industry

  • 1-20%

The range for this position is $59,700.00 to $134,100.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
