About this Location

This position will be remote and report into our Sunoptics daylighting sales organization.  Sunoptics has offices in Conyers, GA and Sacramento, CA. We are looking for candidates who reside in the Southeast or South Central, preferred location being Texas. Job Summary

Charged with establishing and cultivating business and professional relationships with our channel partners including but not limited to lighting agencies, agents & distributors, roofing contractors, general contractors, and specifiers of daylighting products.  These relationships should be leveraged to profitably grow our market share and drive sales of daylighting product solutions.  Responsible for being aware of market trends and serve as the voice of our customer to internal company functions.

How you will contribute:
  • Account management of sales channel partners including but not limited to agents, daylighting distributors and key contractor and owner-driven accounts
  • Working with channel partners to develop sales targets by customer segment as well as implement plans to help each segment achieve these goals
  • Heavily promoting new product solutions and seek opportunities and applications within the new construction, reroof and replacement markets.  Communicate our successes to the field and work with our channel partners on joint sales calls and presentations to key contractors, architectural specifiers and owners/ facility managers
  • Providing product, promotion, and training for our channel partners.  This is achieved through on-going training and communication with internal functions as well as direct field contact
  • Developing open lines of communication with our assigned channel partners.  Understand their business models and our customers' business models so that the position can add value during territory sales calls
  • Developing strategies for addressing local daylighting business opportunities for both specification and contractor-driven business
  • Leveraging sales tools and analytics such as construction data services to develop leads and customer targets.
Qualified Applicants will have:
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Strong understanding of daylighting products and applications
  • Understanding of the construction industry and customer-value chain including agency and distribution models
  • Strong interpersonal and effective consultative selling skills required
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 25-50% Domestic Travel required
