About this Team

Job Summary Responsible for supporting Acuity Sales Channel Sales and channel customers by providing exemplary sales support.  Responsibilities may be, but not limited to:  quoting within Acuity systems, providing product specification sheets, creation and distribution of bid proposals.  Candidate should continually seek opportunities to broaden customer relationships by ensuring customer requirements and expectations are exceeded.

"Project Management:
- Facilitate sponsored stock set-up, maintenance and phase out
- Complete Request for Information (RFI) as a supplier consideration.
- Must be able to communicate with all project players including electrical/general contractors, distributors, agents/account managers/sales reps, and/or specifiers.
- Ability to learn and use internal and 3rd party sales management software and tools.
- Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with internal/external customers.
- Basic understanding and review of legal documents.
- Maintain customer required documentation." 5%
"Quoting Process:
-  Understanding of customer requirements from review of Electrical Drawings, Blueprints, Lighting Specifications, and/or other customer documents to build ABL material list, counts and customer quotes.
- create Acuity specification sheets to include in submittal packages.
- Create simple lighting application design.
- Create and facilitate Bills of Material and respective pricing with Acuity Quotes department
- Follow process for following up on quotes to maximize sales for channel.
- Able to complete low/medium complexity level quotes when acting as the agent/sales rep proficiently.
- Provide frontline technical support
- Enter Request for Definitions (RFD) when acting as the agent/sales rep for gaining approval from engineering and product market groups on custom products/options.
- Enter and facilitate the Request for Warranty Deviations (RFWD) with legal, finance and product solutions.
- Enter and facilitate the Request for Assistance (RFA) with Design Layout and Controls team for verification of lighting levels and lighting controls Bills of Material
- Clarification of customer Purchase Orders against the correct quote in Acuity system
- Complete basic competitor product crossing" 80%
"Post Sales Facilitation:
- Manage larger post sales and warranty resolution implementation with appropriate Acuity department when needed

"ABS-Lean Initiatives:
- Use Acuity Business System (ABS) Tools daily for individual and departmental metrics.
- Use Lean and ABS Tools to identify opportunities within daily work and process improvement events." 5%

Physical Requirements Other
Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking or standing is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Exceptional project management skills which should include above average organizational skills.  Strong leadership skills, adept at encouraging, motivating and influencing.  Excellent communicator.  Proficient user of Microsoft Office software, such as, Excel, Word, and Power Point. Visio & Access is a plus. Understanding of Commercial Lighting Industry and Lighting project cycle.
