Acuity Brands, Inc. is the North American market leader and one of the world’s leading providers of lighting and building management solutions. Additionally, the company continues to expand its Atrius Intelligent Buildings Platform which offers an on-premise local operating system managed by a suite of cloud services to efficiently manage connected equipment; automate time-intensive tasks, reduce unplanned maintenance. Atrius expertly balances the power of cloud computing with on-premise automation to cost effectively use data to make buildings intelligent and easy to manage.


We’re looking for a top-tier, Enterprise Account Executive who is ready to accelerate adoption of our Atrius platform with clients that operate multiple sites, particularly those in retail, grocery and supply chain logistics. This individual will be recognized by clients as a trustworthy and thoughtful partner; presenting technical expertise and business savvy that concretely delivers on the ROI potential of Atrius. Reporting the VP of Atrius Revenue Generation, Enterprise Account Executives work in partnership with clients, internal subject matter experts and our customer success organization. Working with clients, you will ensure their vision of transforming real estate into an intelligent asset.

About you


  • 8+ years of experience in account management in technology product sales (expertise in software and recurring services is critical). Comfortable coordinating multiple subject matter experts within the account to get the votes required to win the client’s trust.
  • Strong sales leadership experience; with a demonstrated track record as a top-performer throughout your career, especially for entrepreneurial product/company. 
  • Experience with building partnerships with clients, recognizing that lifetime value is more critical than a one-time transaction.
  • Experience with multi-site clients, building management systems, cloud-based software services for intelligent buildings and/or IoT networks are helpful in understanding the Atrius value proposition and how to bring it to life for clients.
  • Evangelist for the customer and delivering innovative solutions that have direct measurable impact to their needs, anticipating what they want
  • Passion for the account development process; understanding customer motivations, stakeholder relationships, buying centers and managing pipeline.
  • Ability to articulates a vision and strategy in a way that motivates and inspires a customer and focuses their energy on achieving business goals
  • A creative thinker who can generate and execute on innovative and possibly abstract product ideas and bringing them to clear and actionable solutions
  • Skilled in providing analysis and estimation of the strategic and financial value of new products and features
  • Excellent financial mind, understanding both real costs and potential lost opportunities to build compelling ROI’s for clients to acquire.
Qualified Applicants will have:


  • Develop client relationships to close service revenues for cloud-based intelligent building applications that run on the Atrius local operating system
  • Coordinate all selling and support activities within the client; own the results
  • Manage your sales funnel, nurture new opportunities, digital prospect and evangelize new opportunities with your marketing partners
  • Execute product launch plans; work closely with partners to identify potential early adopters and reference accounts
  • Routinely interact with customer success and deployment teams to ensure customer satisfaction, renewals and upsells occur as planned.
  • Deliver a regular (e.g. monthly) volume, revenue, and profit forecasts/reports
  • Contribute to customer knowledge base and VOC collection process


Contribute to company senior leadership:


  • Serve as a respected advocate of the customer in the business, building and sustaining relationships with business stakeholders
  • Partner with the executive team to evolve and refine corporate and go to market strategy.
  • Further integrate the sales dimension into the fabric of the company; develop essential personal relationships; help cultivate close, collaborative relationships with marketing, product, and engineering.
  • Provide market related insights to Atrius senior leadership as to current business trends and potential opportunities for new growth.
