Job Summary

Reporting into the ISG Sales Head of Solutions, the Director of Solutions Architecture is a unique leadership position that closely engages across all functions of the Intelligent Spaces Group. The position is responsible for leading a group of highly seasoned technical subject matter experts who design, develop and deliver scalable innovative solutions that showcase the best integrated capabilities of ISG’s hardware, software and services and meet customers’ needs.

This leadership role is pivotal in bridging the gap between customer needs and our innovative technologies, ensuring that our offerings not only meet but exceed expectations. In close partnership with sales, the team architects tailored scalable solutions that enhance building operations, improve efficiency, and drive customer satisfaction.

 

The unique position of the team also allows for the aggregation of “voice of the customer” and evolution of the competitive landscape through direct interactions with our Authorized System Integrators and end customers. A sustained interface with Product Management and R&D teams will need to be maintained to channel structured feedback and collaborate on product feature-set additions and services enhancements.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of subject matter experts to ensure high performance, professional development, and alignment with group objectives.
  • Foster an innovative environment to encourage collaborative problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support career development for team members.
  • Ability to build relationships with functions outside of sales, including product management, R&D and customer support.


Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and implement strategies for delivering integrated building management solutions that address customer needs and align with company goals.
  • Oversee the development of comprehensive solution designs and proposals, ensuring they meet the customer scenario’s technical and operational criterion, while also meeting the product and R&D teams’ technical standards.


Customer Engagement:

  • Engage with key customers to understand their challenges and requirements and translate these into comprehensive effective solutions.
  • Present and articulate complex solutions to customers, addressing their concerns and demonstrating the value of our offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within solutions architecture, particularly in building management or related technologies.
  • Minimum 5-year experience in Customer Service and/or Technical Support Services.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in building management systems, IoT, automation, and integrated solutions.
  • Keen understanding of sales processes and customer engagement strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver complex solutions that integrate multiple technologies and platforms.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with project management, strategic planning, and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle various priorities.

  • Occasional travel may be required to meet with customers, attend industry events, or visit project sites.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving market conditions and customer needs.

The range for this position is ​​​​​​$131,000 to $235,700 Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
