Job Description

We're seeking a talented and enthusiastic Director of Total Solutions with a proven track record in growing network solution sales. The Director of Total Solutions will ensure Acuity Brands products and solutions are specified and sold within the Midwest territory. The Total Solutions team is responsible for the end-to-end technical engagement related to networked solutions with Acuity customers and partners from initial pre-sales discovery activities, through the full sales lifecycle, to solution deployment and value realization.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving sales growth of Acuity controls solutions: nLight wired, nLight Air, FRESCO, etc.
  • Provide support for networked solutions to agency partners and customers to drive sales growth.
  • Responsible for achieving networked solution growth goals supporting C&I, Holophane, and National Accounts channels to support channel leadership in achieving sales growth goals.
  • Develop and support plans and strategies for achieving Acuity strategic objectives, revenue and sales growths of networked solution offerings.
  • Ensure internal sellers are adequately trained to drive Acuity preference of standalone and embedded controls are top of mind with customers and agency partners.
  • Define and coordinate training programs that enable agency partners and customers to maintain and gain new technical competencies related to the lighting and controls industry.
  • Provide insight to industry trends that will inform agency partners to make better business decisions.
  • Using ABS tools to partner with sales and matrix leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvements
    • Participate in kaizen workshops for continuous improvement within sales organization
    • Drive Daily management practices to drive accountability and ownership
  • Align with the Product Market and Demand Generation functions to establish successful network solutions market messaging, product launch/re-launch initiatives, and channel/partner/agency programs.
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to Product teams and other matrix partners.
Minimum Requirements

• University or College graduate
• High technical aptitude
• Lighting and lighting controls experience preferred
• Travel requirements: 75 – 85%
