Job Summary:         
The Director of Consolidations and Statutory Reporting (DCSR) is responsible for ensuring compliance with local statutory accounting and reporting requirements; identifying and monitoring adjustments to reconcile local ledgers to US GAAP; and ensuring the proper consolidation and intercompany eliminations of the company's consolidated financial results under US GAAP. The DCSR will work closely with internal and external auditors, tax, and legal to maintain and enforce a framework to ensure our global compliance as the company seeks growth in new jurisdictions. The role requires strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and auditing standards. This role requires cross-functional relationship building at all levels, strong verbal and written presentation skills, and the capability to mentor team members. This role reports to the VP, Accounting and Reporting within Controllership and is based in our Midtown office in our remote environment.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Develops, maintains, and provides training for a global statutory accounting and reporting framework, including local to US GAAP adjustments and intercompany eliminations.
Reviews and supports the monthly close and consolidation process.
Provide oversight of statutory financial reporting audits and supports global internal and external audit functions.
Manage a team with potential for expansion to support company growth.

Skills, Education and Experience (Required to Perform Essential Functions):         

  • Skills (including soft and technical skills).            
  • CPA certification. 
  • 9+ years of combined audit and accounting experience required, including relevant consolidation and statutory financial reporting experience.         
  • Demonstrated ability to assess key operational and financial risk areas, identify and implement process improvements and perform in a fast-paced environment.        
  • Demonstrated ability to build a positive rapport with team members throughout a global organization.         
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, confidence, and poise under pressure.  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Education (minimum education required):     
Master’s Degree or equivalent    

 

Experience (minimum experience required):    
9 to 12 years    

 

Preferred Education (i.e. type of degree):     
Masters Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, or related field.

 

Preferred Experience (i.e. industry experience):
Spanish and/or French language skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements:           
Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking or standing is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

The range for this position is $121,700.00 to $250,700.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
