Director, HRBP - Corporate Functions Job

Position Summary

This is an exciting time for our corporate functions as we look to transform how we deliver value to the business. The Director, Human Resources Business Partner will be critical to this success by being a strategic business partner responsible for providing thought partnership and guidance to our global Corporate businesses. This would include close partnership with our CFO, CHRO, General Counsel leader, and Chief Communications leader. Responsibilities will include being a strategic thought partner to the C-suite leader, their leadership team, and their organization to deliver people and organizational solutions from an enterprise viewpoint.


The Director, HRBP will utilize diagnostics to address and understand organizational dynamics, implement, and refine short and long term outcomes. Create and drive the people strategy for the corporate functions, including focus on talent developing and retention, recruitment strategy, and succession planning. Establish and maintain effective relationships to provide coaching and guidance to leaders, drive change management, and increase employee engagement within the organization. This role will act as an individual contributor, reporting to the Corporate Functions and Intelligent Spaces Group HR Vice President.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing a practical and business-focused HR strategy that aligns with the overall Corporate business units’ plan
  • Oversee daily HR operations working closely with the HR COEs (Communities of expertise)
  • Track and measure HR performance goals to identify areas for improvement, develop and implement plans to close gaps
  • Facilitate and support leadership pipeline discussion (gap analysis, succession planning, leadership development and Individual Development Plans)
  • Work with the corporate leaders to create a defined people strategy, can include internal development, external recruitment strategies, university partnerships and geographic focus areas
  • Partner with the RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) to help drive the recruitment process, engagement of hiring manager and overall process experience for the business and candidate
  • Partner with corporate leaders to define and create the desired organizational culture
  • Partner with COEs to effectively provide business context as the COE designs, develops and implements programs
  • Provide HR consulting services to employees and manager. Act as a thought partner to business unit leader(s), and coach to supervisors
  • Engage and help drive the HR transformation, being a change champion for the HR team and business
  • Communicate with associated operating departments as necessary to produce cohesive efforts towards accomplishing Company goals. Reinforce an environment of teamwork and collaboration
  • Support Diversity & Inclusion initiatives to achieve global diversity targets
  • Has broad knowledge and experience with corporate functions and ability to partner directly with levels such as the CFO, CHRO, Chief Legal Officer and Chief Communications Officer

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years experience as a progressive HR partner with senior executives, specifically partnering with direct reports of a CEO in corporate functions, such as finance, accounting, HR, legal, and communications
  • Beneficial to have had experience in leadership development, recruitment, compensation, or HR services OR in a business or corporate role outside of HR
  • Come from a fast-paced, high growth, and innovative firm/company; knows what good HR delivery and partnering looks like
  • Customer focused and business driven
  • Can see opportunities for synergies and integration where others cannot
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple competing priorities
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and execute against stimulating projects. Comfortable with ambiguity and change
  • Reads situations quickly and finds common ground; can get to solutions with minimal noise
  • Collaborates with COEs to solve problems and implement solutions
  • Deals effectively with global and local workforce complexities  
  • Travel-Domestic & International potential up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple competing priorities
  • Prior experience with organization design, organization effectiveness, and change management experience strongly preferred
  • Preferred to be located in or ability to travel as needed to the Atlanta, GA area
  • Remote role with in-person meetings required
