Digital Retail Account Manager Job

About this Role:

 

This role is responsible for top tier Digital Retail accounts and will be considered the internal and external point of contact for all things related to their accounts needs. The Digital Retail Account Manager develops and executes sales strategies, drives revenue and margin growth, manages assortment and product mix, performs pricing analysis and leads day to day activities for managed accounts. This role will play an integral part in growing the Digital Retail channel within Acuity as well as gaining market share within the lighting category online.

How you will contribute:

 

Sales (40%)

  • Formulate and execute annual sales, marketing, and promotional strategies for managed accounts.
  • Communicate monthly KPI's on an account and category level, as well as key initiatives and actions.
  • Provide leadership on account service needs that occur on a daily basis to ensure timely execution and follow-up of all activities. 
  • Develop & support B2B online business strategies for managed accounts.
  • Provide feedback regarding accounts managed through clear, effective, timely & contructive communication.     

 

Product (25%)

  • Manage online assortment, promotions, pricing and overall product presentation for managed accounts.
  • Ensure online accuracy & completeness of top volume driving sku's including reviews of on site merchandising, content, copy, digital assets and technical documents.
  • Maintain a close understanding of product launches, discontinuations, promotions, and sell through performance. 
  • Perform mix analysis to develop priorities for sku additions, pricing audits and margin improvements in support of overall channel sales growth & GP%. 

 

Customer Relationships & Matrix Connectivity (25%)

  • Build and maintain relationships with vendor/brand manager partners at managed accounts.
  • Develop a strategic and productive partnership with agency partners, in order to drive business growth initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with key internal business partners to ensure operational excellence and a seamless.
  • Enabling and supporting matrix partner needs.
  • Developing strong partnerships with key stakeholders.

 

Process Improvement & Data Analytics (10%)

  • Partner with matrix team to identify opportunities for process improvement and effectiveness based on current/future account needs, new technologies and market competition. 
  • Work with sales operations & forecasting teams to maximize fill-rate performance with minimum risk of excess inventory.
  • Engage with customer portals, where available, to execute customer facing tasks, evaluate POS, determine strategies and identify trends. 
  • Gather and report out on sku performance on a regular cadence as well as during promotional activity. 
  • Perform business analysis using data available via agency partners, customer portals, market and industry reports.

Qualified Applicants will have:

 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience required, including experience with consumer retail sales or managing major retail partner relationships required. Two years within ecommerce or digital retail preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to be a strategic thought partner to the consumer retail leadership team.
  • Proven experience of innovation and problem solving in a dynamic and high growth environment. Results driven and self-starter mindset.
  • Strong project management, multitasking, organizational and decision-making skills. Detail oriented with the capability to perform in depth analytics.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to inspire collaboration internally and externally.
  • Team oriented and functions well within a matrix organization.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint software.
  • Ability to lift up to 25+ lbs. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed.
