Regional Industrial Sales Director - Holophane Sales Channel Job

About this Team

The Industrial Vertical Director plays an integral role in driving revenue growth for the company across key verticals and partnerships with key customers. In addition, this role partners with the field sales team and matrix partners to drive increased alignment and focus. The role will focus on primary and secondary verticals. Primary verticals include industrial end users in the metals-mining, pulp-paper, oil-gas, power generation, food & beverage and general manufacturing sectors. Secondary verticals include electrical distributors, consulting engineers, contractors, ESCO’s and lighting contractors.

How you will contribute:
  • Industrial subject matter expert that educates, mentors and coaches Holophane sales reps on the industrial market. This includes knowledge about market segments, customer process, market dynamics, channel partners, product solutions and internal processes.
  • Collaborate with Holophane field sales team on sales activities to generate sales growth, specification and product preference for Acuity solutions, activities include joint sales calls, customer presentations, product demonstrations, participation in industry events and communities and coordination of sales and marketing efforts.
  • Provide sales leadership through assisting in the following activities:
    • Preparing for sales calls and meetings
    • Defining sales and bid strategies
    • Managing key customer account relationships (owners, contractors, engineers, distributors)
    • New business development
    • Surrounding the PESCO funnel and closing major projects
  • Provide process leadership and demonstrate continuous improvement mindset by acting as liaison with matrix partners (PVS, Legal, Finance, Services, etc.)
  • Provide sales support in the following areas:
    • Assist with key customer requests
    • Bid and RFP response
    • Assist with product approvals and submittals
    • Assist with photometric and economic analysis

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in industrial sales, national accounts, or corporate accounts
  • Strong lighting and lighting controls expertise in indoor and outdoor applications
  • Strong understanding of RFQ process for UPR and new construction opportunities
  • Understanding of networks and lighting controls solutions in the industrial space.
  • Proficiency in Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, and other computer applications
  • Overnight travel required. Percentage of travel based upon geographic needs
