Sourcing Specialist Job

What will be your role?

We are looking for a Sourcing Specialist who will participate in implementing our global sourcing strategies related to supplier qualification, selection, supply base rationalization initiatives and negotiations for all commercial aspects of supplier relationships. You must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.  You will actively participate in identifying, developing, and monitoring our global supply base for a variety of Electronics. You will work closely with the Sourcing Director to mitigate supply chain risks for all key raw materials and contribute to support other team members including contract manufacturers.

What will you do?

• Work in collaboration of the Sourcing Director to implement a formal global sourcing strategy and socializing that strategy with key stakeholders and global sourcing organization.
• Assist in maintaining and improving supplier cost, quality, and delivery by developing collaborative relationships with vendors and through benchmarking. Explore ways to eliminate waste in the total supply chain process.
• Investigate and cultivate new sources for supplies and products.  Use the competitive bid process to solicit capable sources to obtain favorable pricing, quality, and delivery. 
• Support the creation of tools and reports to monitor, report on and forecast purchase price variance. Use data analytics to uncover and suggest opportunities for cost, quality or delivery improvement.
• Participate in the demand planning process and communicate forecasts with vendors.
• Participate in cross-functional committees through the products lifecycle, from product development to phase out programs, providing innovative supply chain solutions to ensure projects milestones are reached on time and on budget.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve non-conformities, including management of root-cause corrective-action activity.
• Expedite and monitor critical orders with vendors, supporting the buyer-planner as needed.
• Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency.


Which candidate profile are we looking for?

  • • Bachelor’s Degree in business, Materials Management, Procurement or Supply Chain Management or relevant experience.
    • 1+ years of experience in similar role, with a focus on the electronics industry preferred
    • Perfectly Bilingual, French, and English (writing and speaking)
    • Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, planning and execution skills are needed. 
    • Results focused, team player, strategic thinker, detail planned, data oriented, sound, and timely decision maker
    • Knowledge of purchasing/procurement operations, including contracting, supplier quality management, supplier risk mitigation management and supply chain management. 
    • Expertise with ERPs, MRPs and data analytics. Demonstrated experience with business intelligence systems or advanced reporting tools.
    • Familiar with Six Sigma/Lean and Kaizen principles and performance improvement tools. 
    • Solid computer skills and keen knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs, and particularly proficient with Advanced Excel.
