What role will you play?

We are currently looking for a Product Manager, Connected Buildings who will be responsible for the marketing and management of products offered by Distech Controls. Under the supervision of the Vice-President, Product Management and in collaboration with the product development, marketing and sales teams, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, follow-up and successful marketing of various products. With the help of a multidisciplinary team, you will generate innovative ideas that will allow you to effectively stand out in the sales and promotions of our products.

What will you do in this position?

Primary Duties

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of a solution, from ideation to development to distribution. To do this, he or she must coordinate all the players in the chain, whether internal departments or external service providers.
  • If necessary, develop and manage relationships with suppliers to accelerate the implementation of the product strategy.
  • Develop the marketing plan and the value proposition of the products offered for the various markets, distribution channels and types of customers,
  • Develop and manage marketing support tools such as presentation, specification, demonstration, market positioning and product selection tools, etc.
  • Educate and update the sales team on the marketing plan and the value proposition of the products offered.
  • Participate in the organization of trade shows and other events to demonstrate products. Plan and assemble technical solutions to be presented.
  • Monitors the market and identifies creative opportunities to effectively position products in relation to the competition
  • Adopts a cooperative approach within the team and the organization, sharing knowledge and information.
  • Highly motivated, independent, able to manage a wide range of responsibilities;
  • Good negotiator to establish win-win business agreements.
  • Identifies and understands internal and external client needs.
  • Ability to be original and innovative while respecting available resources;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and ability to clearly present ideas and information (bilingualism an asset);
  • Must be comfortable and able to learn new technologies.

 

What candidate profile are we looking for ?
  • Holder of a bachelor's degree or technical studies equivalence.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar position.
  • Proven experience and skills in:
    • Product management in the fields of:
      • Building Automation
      • Lighting Automation
      • Automation of cooling systems
    • Creation of efficient tools to assist in the marketing of solutions
    • Supplier relationship management
  • Diverse experience in the field of building controls
    • Sale
    • Estimation
    • Installation and programming
    • Service
  • Experience in digital technologies:
    • Computer network
    • Cybersecurity
    • "Cloud"

French,English spoken and written. Bilingualism is an important asset.

Travel in North America and occasionally international
