Manager Finance - 15-month contract Job

What role will you play?

We are currently looking for a Finance Manager, attached to the Vice President of Finance of the Distech Group, for a temporary 15-month contract (replacement maternity leave).

Within the framework of the global corporate project, he/she actively contributes to its development and to the optimization of the economic performance and efficiency of the company.

In a global way, the candidate must be a driving force in the optimization of costs, tools and processes.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, technical skills and a good ability to identify the main financial issues.  

What will you do in this position?

Participate in activities related to period-end closing and production of monthly financial statements for 3 entities of the Distech group.

  • Analyze monthly results and write an analysis of sales and results for Management and the Group, in collaboration with the VP Finance.
  • Preparation of the Distech Group's annual budget in conjunction with the VP Finance.
  • To quantify the financial impact of the various proposals of the Management Committee to assist in decision-making.
  • Prepares month-end reports and participates in the explanation of budget variances and variances in the results of the various departments.
  • Maintain, review, and assist in the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, manual journal entries.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Improve current processes to meet the company's growth.
  • Answers to the group's questions regarding Distech's financial statements
  • Participate in various annual projects (information system updates)
  • Organization and animation of a team of 2 people
What candidate profile are we looking for ?

Essential :

  • Holder of a Chartered Professional Accounting designation (CPA)
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience, including at least two (2) years in an audit firm.
  • Bilingualism (French and English), both written and oral
  • Dynamic, positive attitude
  • Team player, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical spirit and objectivity
