Manager, Sales Operations Job

What will be your role?

Distech Controls is searching for a Sales Operations Manager to support our global sales team as we manage incredible growth and new vertical expansion. The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for assisting sales leadership in driving operational excellence. They also assist with the day to day administration and operational tasks.
This role is a high value-add business partner to the sales organization, enabling revenue growth and increasing sales productivity by providing effective methodologies, efficient processes, value-added information and sales tools.
 

What will you do?

• Own the end-to-end process of tracking the sales funnel and operational metrics and delivering regular insights to the business; define and deliver techniques to improve the funnel performance for sales management.
• Coordinate and implement sales forecasting, planning and budgeting processes within the sales team.
• Act as a liaison and partner with the sales team and other internal customers.
• Establish peer support groups and forge strong relationships with key executives within the company.
• Support the sales team using Microsoft Dynamics CRM and DOMO BI with process improvement, measurement, tracking, and analytics.
• Work with Marketing to identify the success of marketing campaigns, events and content to increase qualified leads.
• Enhance sales productivity by enabling the team to work smarter by simplifying processes.
• Track and analyze key metrics including pipeline growth, win/loss rates, and quota attainment.
• Develop and maintain monthly and quarterly reports on Key Performing Indicators
• Manage all aspects of sales incentive program
• Annually refine customer segmentation with support of Regional Directors and Regional Sales Managers
• Manage customer multiplier program assessment and rollout annually
• Maintain regular check-ins with Directors, Regional Sales Managers and Business Development Managers to determine how sales opportunities are tracking against plan and identify any problems for internal review and problem-solving (Root Cause Counter Measure).
• Create quarterly content for executive presentations and board reporting.
• Provide construction data and market data insights, leveraging ContructConnect and Globaldata and by working with Acuity Brands Business Intelligence team
• Work with finance on sales performance prior to bonus payouts
• Assist with onboarding and training new sales talent on Microsoft Dynamics CRM and DOMO BI
 

Which candidate profile are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree preferred, with focus in business administration, finance or other relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in sales operations as a CRM subject matter expert with proficiency in creating reports, optimizing processes, training new hires, and managing dashboards.
• Ability to understand high-level sales strategies, translate them into system and process requirements and ensure execution and business impact.
• Ability to take ownership of projects from planning through execution.
• Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with people in an open, friendly, and accepting manner.
• Strong attention to detail, and superior organizational skills.
• Experience in managing commission plans.
• Excellent organizational and priority management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Active listening skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
