About this Team

We are presently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Business Systems Integration Specialist / Developer who will work on the development and implementation of business systems projects with specific responsibility on our corporate systems architecture and integrations.  The Business Systems Integration Specialist / Developer will work closely both within systems projects and with currently installed systems to assess business needs, identify areas in need of improvement and propose solutions that support the organization’s business processes and meet current industry best-practices.

To be successful as an Business Systems Integration Specialist / Developer, you should be able to work within a variety of business systems in use at Distech Controls while continuously assessing the overall systems architecture to recommend solutions to optimize performance and for any new system additions.  Current business systems include: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Intranet (Sharepoint), eCommerce, Business Intelligence, Manufacturing systems, Microsoft Office 365 and more.

How you will contribute:

Information Systems Integration and Architecture – 60 %
•Contributes to the successful deployment of systems information infrastructure projects.
•Design, structure and integration of information systems to meet the company’s needs.
•Current systems architecture assessment for continuous improvement recommendations.
•Technical support on systems integration or architecture issues as they arise.
•Technical lead on implementation of systems integration projects, including defining requirements, development work and functional testing.
•On-going research of current and emerging technologies to propose value-added changes where needed.
•Assessment and implementation of continuous improvement projects on enterprise Data Quality.

Information Systems Analysis, Development and Support - 40 %
•Engage with internal customers to capture their requirements, evaluate and develop new applications, solutions and/or enhancements to existing systems functionality.
•Establish deployment/migration strategy and guide the project team through implementation.
•Provide technical support on systems issues as they arise.
•Provide guidance to development teams on specific programming approach for new development work.
•Promotion of industry best practices and innovative ideas that leverage the Information Systems in-place.
•Participation in various technical aspects of systems projects as required: definition of functional requirements, development, testing and support.
•Data analysis, development, and publication various reports and performance indicators for management.

Qualified Applicants will have:

Essential:
•Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering or Computer Science, or a related field.
•8-10 years of related experience, including:
oMin. of 5 years of proven experience in business systems integration and architecture design.
oMin of 8 years of cross-functional information systems experience supporting various business units.
oProven experience in the delivery of technology projects involving multiple stakeholders.
•Advanced knowledge on SQL databases, queries, stored procedures.
•In-depth understanding of coding languages | Programming skills: C / C++, VBA, .NET, HTML, Java
•Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, various operating systems and databases.
•Strong initiative to research new technologies and best practices to improve solutions, systems and processes.
•Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and under tight deadlines, independently or within a team.
•Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
•Fluent in French and English – written and spoken.

 

Asset:
• Knowledge or certification in one or more of the following specific systems:
o Infor CloudSuite Industrial (Syteline) (ERP)
o Infor OS, ION, Ming.le, IDM and OCR technologies
o Microsoft Dynamics (CRM)
o Domo (BI)
o Microsoft Azure AD
o Microsoft Sharepoint
o Microsoft Reporting Services
