Job Summary

Reporting to the Learning Content Manager, and in collaboration with the peers, Technical Support team, Global Learning Teams, Research & Development team and Product Management team, the selected applicant will be responsible for the creation and management of our global learning content.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Create, own and manage the full learning curriculum for Distech Controls products and solutions.
  • Manage the required modifications to the learning content in collaboration with our product managers, technical trainers and technical support agents.
  • Be part of the project meetings and NPI meetings to gather information about upcoming products to be able to manage the learning updates accordingly.
  • Ensuring that trainers and technical support agents are kept up to date with the upcoming products and solutions by creating an environment to test new learning solutions.
  • Manage the online learning portal and the full learning catalog so that content is always up to date with the product releases.
  • Provide educational content to our customer base to keep up to date with the learning requirements and test the new learnings (Frequency to be defined).
  • Be proactive by improving the available tools and the internal processes within the department.
  • Develop and update new content for the learning courses.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and products in the field related to the Distech Controls product line.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

 

  • Practical Learning Content creation qualifications required
  • University degree or Technical Certificate in Instructional Design/Development, HVAC/Controls, or any other relevant experience in technical learning.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in two or more of the following fields:
  • Instructional Design
  • HVAC Systems
  • Technical Learning
  • Technical Writing
  • Niagara platforms
  • Building Automation
  • Instrumentation and Controls
  • Information Systems and Programming
  • Process Control
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills
  • Structured and well organized
  • Capable of giving presentations in front of large crowds??
  • Courteous with a positive attitude
  • Proactive, autonomous and demonstrates Leadership
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Resourceful and capable of handling multiple simultaneous tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Valid passport for travelling

Preferred Skills and Experience

Important:

  • Programming and configuration of computer networks or IT systems.

Assets:

  • Knowledge of the BACnetÒ IP,  Modbus, or other Control Systems Communication protocols.
  • Tridium Niagara Certified
  • Understanding API usage and functionality
  • Ability to speak one or more of the following languages: French or Spanish
