What role will you play?

We are currently looking for a Director of Finance reporting to the Vice President of Finance of the Distech Group. The person is responsible for the validity and reliability of the Group's accounting and financial information. He/she leads, coordinates, and directs the financial services.

Within the framework of the global company project, he/she contributes actively to its development and to the optimization of the economic performance and efficiency of the company.In a global way, the candidate must be a driving force in the optimization of costs, tools, and processes. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, technical skills, and a good ability to identify the main financial issues.   

 

What will you do in this position?

MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATION

Supervise the proper functioning of his department, in particular :

  • Organizing and leading teams.
  • Setting and monitoring the major objectives of its perimeter in line with the company's strategy.
  • Follow-up of budgets.
  • Implementation, reliability and follow-up of indicators and reporting.
  • Implementation and simplification of transversal processes.
  • Control and internal audit.

BUSINESS EXPERTISE

  • General and third-party accounting, sales administration.
  • Taxation.
  • Treasury and financing
  • Reporting and analysis of variances with respect to the Plan
  • Elaboration of the Annual Plan in line with the company's strategy
  • Legal.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Conduct and participate in transversal internal and external (customer) projects
  • Managing and monitoring the progress of Finance Department projects.
Qualified Applicants will have:

Essential :

  • Holder of a Chartered Professional Accounting designation (CPA)
  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience, including at least three (3) in similar positions.
  • Financial experience in business management
  • Experience in a group's subsidiary, or with multiple entities
  • Experience in an accounting firm (asset)
  • Bilingualism (French and English), both written and oral
  • Dynamic, positive attitude
  • Team player, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical spirit and objectivity
