Job Summary

 

The Electrical Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of Electrical production machinery and facility support equipment, as well as coordinating and hiring/managing/directing all contracted vendors. He/she will work closely with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and repair any electrical equipment; makes decision regarding parts needed and purchasing accordingly; strong PLC skills/expertise is required.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

 

  • Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of the facility’s Electrical system, including possible new installations.  
  • Research and select vendors for repairs and new installations and make decision on what equipment to fix/replace or the purchase of new equipment, including drafting the AE.        
  • Responsible for the Programming of PLC’s and servo drives.        
  • Develop and administers training of maintenance mechanics on any electrical equipment or system, and decides whether outsourcing training for new technologies is required, and if so, coordinates with outside vendor.        
  • Maintain production machinery and facility equipment in a high operational readiness condition.  
  • Provides direction and leadership to maintenance department in making decisions as to the best course of action.        
  • Generate, maintain and interpret electrical drawings as required.        
  • Work with EHS&S Coordinator to ensure facility Environmental, health, safety, and security are compliant.  
  • Complete JHAs and safety and environmental audits by identifying/implementing solutions and working with maintenance team members/vendors to resolve issues.  Also, responsible for job analysis.        
  • Responsible for the Electrical test and repair area. Ensuring equipment is up to date and usable for measuring.        
  • Collaborate/partner with other departments on troubleshooting/resolving and assisting with issues.        
  • Other related duties as required.        
     

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

 

  • Associate’s Degree or Technical Degree or equivalent
  • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD. 
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience           
  • Experience in PLC programming and automation required.            
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, resources, and budget.            
  • Strong technical knowledge in the areas of mechanical and electrical systems, electronics, environmental health & safety, quality assurance, risk analysis, and engineering codes.             
  • Strong team building skills.            
  • Excellent communication skills. Required to effectively communicate with company employees, contractors, and government officials.

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering

  • 1-20%
